Check your ticket number

Type the 4- or 5-digit number printed on your ticket. Matching is done against the latest declared draw on this page — always confirm against the official bulletin before claiming.

How to read your Dear Lottery result

A Dear Lottery ticket carries a series (for example 65G) and a five-digit number (for example 50053). The 1st prize is announced as the series plus the number together — so 65G 50053 wins ₹1 crore, and every other series ending in 50053 wins the consolation prize of ₹1,000.

Below the 1st prize, the sheet lists ten 2nd prize numbers, ten 3rd prize numbers, ten 4th prize numbers and one hundred 5th prize numbers. Those prizes are paid on the number alone, whatever the series, which is why the same five digits can win in thousands of tickets at once.

  • 1st Prize — ₹1 crore (series + number)
  • Consolation — ₹1,000 (same number, all other series)
  • 2nd Prize — ₹9,000 (ten numbers)
  • 3rd Prize — ₹500 (ten numbers)
  • 4th Prize — ₹250 (ten numbers)
  • 5th Prize — ₹120 (one hundred numbers)

Where tickets are sold and what they cost

Dear Lottery tickets are sold by licensed retailers in the states that run the draw, at ₹6 per ticket for the daily schemes. Tickets are printed in series ranges that differ per session, with serial numbers from 00000 to 99999.

Buying online from a seller outside the state that runs the draw is legally risky — the Lotteries (Regulation) Act, 1998 and the rules framed under it restrict interstate sale. Buy in person, keep the receipt, and sign the back of the ticket.

How to verify before you claim

Never trust a single screenshot. Cross-check the winning number on this page against the official bulletin linked on every result card, then match your physical ticket digit by digit.

Claims above ₹10,000 must be submitted to the concerned state lottery office with the original ticket, identity proof and a claim form. Smaller prizes can normally be collected from any authorised retailer in the state.

Mistakes that cost people their prize

The three that come up again and again: matching only the last four digits instead of the full five, checking the wrong draw time, and missing the claim deadline.

Two more: handing the ticket to a stranger to "check" for you, and posting a photo of the ticket publicly before claiming — the ticket number is all someone needs to attempt a fraudulent claim.

  • Match all five digits, not four.
  • Confirm you are reading the right draw (1 PM / 6 PM / 8 PM).
  • Claim within the window printed on the ticket.
  • Never hand the original ticket to an intermediary.
  • Blur the serial number in any photo you post.

Frequently asked questions

What do the letters in the winning number mean?

The letter is the ticket series, e.g. 65G in "65G 50053". Only that exact series with that exact number wins the 1st prize; all other series with the same number win the consolation prize.

What is the consolation prize?

Every ticket bearing the 1st prize number in any other series wins ₹1,000. That is the consolation prize, and it applies to all remaining serials and series of the winning number.

How do I verify a winning number?

Match your ticket against the sheet on this page, then confirm against the official bulletin linked on every result card. Never rely on a forwarded screenshot.

How do I claim a Dear Lottery prize?

Prizes up to ₹10,000 are usually paid by licensed retailers. Above that, submit the original ticket, ID proof, address proof, a claim form and bank details to the state lottery department within the deadline printed on the ticket.
